Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif (foreign name: Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif) was born on December 25, 1949 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. He studied at the Lahore Public School in his early years, graduated from the Lahore Government College, and obtained a bachelor's degree in law from the Punjab Law School. After graduation, he assisted his father in operating a steel mill and became a well-known and wealthy entrepreneur. He has served as Prime Minister of Pakistan many times.

Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was born on December 25, 1949 in Lahore, the capital of Pakistan's Punjab province. He entered politics during the reign of the late President Zia ul Haq. In 1981, he was appointed Finance Minister and Sports Minister of Punjab. In 1985, he was promoted to Chief Minister of the province. In the general elections of all parties in 1988, he was once again the chief minister in the Punjab province.

Sharif served as Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1990 to 1993 and from 1997 to 1999. On October 12, 1999, Prime Minister Sharif announced the removal of all duties of Army Chief of Staff Musharraf. On the same day, Musharraf launched a military coup and disbanded the Sharif government. In the same month, Musharraf was the chief executive of the Pakistani government and began to take charge of the Pakistani regime. In 2000, the Pakistani anti-terrorism court sentenced Sharif to life imprisonment on charges of corruption, hijacking, tax evasion, embezzlement of public funds and terrorism. According to an agreement with the government, Sharif began to exile in Saudi Arabia to offset the penalty for life imprisonment.

On August 23, 2007, the Supreme Court of Pakistan ruled that Sharif, who was in exile, would return to the country and participate in the Palestinian parliamentary elections. On August 30 of the same year, the Pakistani opposition Muslim League (Sharif) held a two-day meeting in London and decided to let its leader Sharif return. In May 2013, the Muslim League (Sharif) led by Sharif won the election, and Sharif was elected Prime Minister for the third time in June.
On October 3, 2017, according to the latest election bill passed by Pakistan, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was elected as the party leader by the ruling Muslim League (Sharif).

Sharif has been friendly to China and has visited China many times. He paid an official visit to China in July 2013.
Sharif said on October 30, 2013 that Pakistan hopes to see peace in Afghanistan and will provide full support for this. Sharif said that the two countries need to enhance mutual trust and should not be hostile to each other, so as to improve the living environment of the two peoples.


On July 17, 2017, the Supreme Court of Pakistan began hearing the corruption of Prime Minister Sharif, which will determine the future of Sharif. The joint investigation team set up by the Supreme Court said in the report that the Sharif family’s income from business is not enough to explain its family wealth. Children, including his heir and daughter Maryam Sharif, were also accused of signing forged documents to cover up the ownership of luxury apartments in London. On April 13, 2018, the Supreme Court of Pakistan ruled that Nawaz Sharif would not be appointed to a public office for life.

On July 6, 2018, Sharif was sentenced to 10 years in prison for corruption.
